This amazing photo shows the true face of freedom. Take that, ISIS.

That time a photo truly was worth a thousand words.

Freelance journalist Jack Shahine shared a simple photograph on Twitter this week. It is of an Arab woman in Syria fleeing ISIS and finding freedom with the Kurds.

The look on her face as she casts off what Shahine calls the “blackness” (presumably a burka) … it’s the true face of freedom.
