Fox News Channel’s Tamara Holder clearly stunned during panel on feminism after a guest panelist said this

I tuned in to Fox News Channel’s Hannity last night just in time to catch this gem of a panel. I admit, I watched it with my jaw dropped, cheering wildly — you’ve got to see it to believe it.

Writer and co-founder of Vice Media Gavin McInnes appeared as a guest on Thursday night’s show to chat about feminism, a topic that nearly always ignites a firestorm, and last night certainly didn’t disappoint. Chicago attorney and Fox News Contributor Tamara Holder was rendered nearly speechless in the very beginning of the interview when McInnes said that women earn less in the United States because they choose to earn less and are less ambitious.

“The big picture here is, women do earn less in America because they choose to,” argued McInnes. “They would rather go to their daughter’s piano recital than stay all night at work working on a proposal, so they end up earning less…They’re less ambitious, and I think this is sort of God’s way, this is nature’s way of saying women should be at home with the kids — they’re happier there.”

“What? I hope that your viewers do not take you, sir, seriously,” responded Holder, calling his comments “deplorable.”

“If you were a real feminist, you would support housewives and see them as the heroes and women who work wasting their time,” McInnes replied.

Holder, clearly shaken, challenged his comments that women are less ambitious, and went after him for saying women are better suited in the home — a statement he agreed with. “You’ve also said — uh, let’s see — that women are emotional, that women shouldn’t run for public office…”

“I never said that women shouldn’t run for public office,” replied McInnes. What he said next is what really stunned Holder, who is a card carrying feminist in every sense of the word.

“You’re making a mistake,” he told her. “You would be much happier at home with a husband and children! Look, you’re miserable. You’d be so much happier with kids around you tonight…Feminism has made women miserable. Women were much happier when housewives were glorified.”

Come on, you know you want to watch it now…

Is he so wrong?
