Planned Parenthood’s Crumbling Empire and the New Culture of Life

Planned Parenthood’s Crumbling Empire and the New Culture of Life

Congress voted to fund Planned Parenthood through December 11, and as Heritage Action For America reported, they will perform roughly 65, 000 abortions (do the math here) between now and the December deadline.

To put that number in perspective, a typical Bernie Sanders rally draws a crowd of 10,000-28,000 people. These 65,000 children will never learn to walk, enjoy their first day of kindergarten, attend a Father-Daughter dance, or marry.

Planned Parenthood has multiple problems: the organization’s racist founder, current President of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richard’s six-figure salary, vague reporting practices, accusations of abortion quotas, S & M promotional videos, documented  failures to report sexual abuse,  opposition to parental consent laws, and bullying of the competition. These issues arise from its rotten core, which is the destruction of  human life.

Do we expect a government-funded entity with a knack for crushing and killing  to behave ethically outside the operating room?  There is no doubt Planned Parenthood is a morally vacant organization invading our kids’ schools through their connection with Girl Scouts, school-based medical clinics, and classroom indoctrination through sex education.

Their days are numbered, and a new beginning is here.

Taking down Planned Parenthood is like a toddler wrestling with an NFL linebacker. This is a powerful organization in bed with politicians who are devoted to its survival. Is America promoting a culture of death by embracing abortion? If Planned Parenthood is mortally wounded after this expose, what will happen next? Will the world fall apart as some would like us to believe?

These are all good questions, but in the meantime,  what can we do to  cultivate a culture of life and promise?

Respect HUMAN life

Americans love their pets. We spend billions of dollars on our pets for food, healthcare, and grooming.  There are 218 million pets in the US,  each household spends about $500 on their furry family members per year. On Facebook, we share pictures of animals,  but how many are willing to share a post from a pro-life organization? How many are willing to take a small amount from their pet budget and donate it to a pregnancy resource center? ABC covered the death of Cecil the Lion 15x more than the Planned Parenthood videos. Major networks covered Cecil more than the trafficking of baby body parts. Humans are just as valuable as animals.

Men, we need your voices

Don’t let feminists tell men their voices are not welcome. Since male participation is required to create life, their input is valuable. Since Planned Parenthood receives taxpayer money, taxpayers, including males, have a right to make their opinions known.

Church over government and culture

Yes, there are pro-life Democrats and pro-choice Republicans, but the Democrat Party in general  supports  abortion and Planned Parenthood, because the party receives massive amounts of cash from them. The Republican Party is not pure, but Planned Parenthood is a Democrat party issue. The Democrats in office don’t want to talk about these Planned Parenthood videos, because it’s hard to defend them.

Democrats control the entertainment industry, which controls our culture. The abortion culture teaches young adults if there is a problem, the government will help. Democrats love big government. Culture tells us to rely on government run by Democrats.

The entertainment industry, coupled with modern-day feminism (another arena dominated by Democrats), ushered in the “hookup” culture — that’s sexual activity such as kissing, fondling, or “penetrative sex” without commitment. Dating apps allow men (or women) to snag the hottest prospect, and the competition is fierce. This “hit-it-and-quit-it” mindset does have consequences. A young, career-oriented woman who follows culture, and gets pregnant during a sexually liberating moment with a stranger, will no doubt go to Planned Parenthood for her abortion.

Culture tells us abortion is not just a medical procedure, but a path to freedom worthy of praise (#ShoutYourAbortion), and  sexual prowess empowers women. Talking to kids about abstinence, family support, self-restraint, and not following culture, even when it’s unpopular, can prevent them from ever entering a Planned Parenthood clinic.

Support the pro-life movement

Volunteering to encourage and protect life is a noble cause. It is important to teach our daughters to treat young, pregnant, unwed women facing unexpected pregnancies with compassion and support. It is equally important to treat post-abortive women with the same respect. We can strengthen mothers by telling them “You can do this,” while enjoying life with their baby. Planned Parenthood isn’t the only option, and women need to be aware of this.

Culture doesn’t tell us how those babies are killed, how abortion damages mothers, or the psychological effects of sleeping with multiple partners. Pro-life activism has stepped in to educate the public. Donating to pro-life causes helps the movement with educational efforts, activism, and other expenses.

Hospital abortions?

Whether we like it or not, abortion is a constitutionally protected right. While we work to change the face of abortion by helping women choose life, some will fall through the cracks and choose abortion. Where will they go?  With the availability of emergency equipment and trained personnel, hospitals are the safest place for women, as long as employees are not forced to participate.

Community health centers

Community health centers and pregnancy resource centers provide an excellent alternative. During her testimony, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards admitted community health centers outnumber Planned Parenthood clinics. She also admitted Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms.

National Review interviewed qualified experts about women’s healthcare after Planned Parenthood. One author and professor said this:

So, it would not at all surprise me to see, soon after the disappearance of Planned Parenthood, growing platoons of pro-life citizens building on the work of the many crisis-pregnancy centers throughout America that have labored for decades under the suspicion, harassment, and condescension of the abortion-choice industrial complex. Because that supercilious contempt of bygone days would quickly become unfashionable, the pro-life movement would be unleashed to develop in its fullness what it has in the past 40 years nobly performed in conditions under which other movements would have folded.

Our daughters and Planned Parenthood

The Family Research Council has well-documented information on Planned Parenthood regarding sex-selective abortions,

Planned Parenthood has also shown support for gendercide. “Protect Our Girls,” Live Action’s 2012 video project highlighting gendercide in America, exposed Planned Parenthood affiliates in Texas, Arizona, New York, Hawaii, and North Carolina encouraging women to get sex-selective abortions for unborn girls they did not want.[30]

rape, and parental involvement:

Planned Parenthood of Indiana has been accused of endangering the safety and well-being of minor girls by intentionally circumventing state parental involvement laws and breaking state law by refusing to report statutory rape.[36] Planned Parenthood of Ohio was convicted of not enforcing parental consent laws in the case of a 14-year-old who got pregnant by her soccer coach.[37] In 2014, an Arizona Planned Parenthood failed to report the rape of a teenage girl, which allowed the man to rape 18 other girls.[38] The sheriff’s office report in this case stated, “The counselor intentionally miscoded the assault as a consensual encounter…the counselor told them that they did not want the hassle of having to report the assault to law enforcement as they were a mandatory reporter.”[39]

Our daughters need to know the truth about Planned Parenthood and how this organization does not have women’s best interests in mind. A child’s medial care should involve parents and not the lovable women we’ve seen on these Planned Parenthood videos.

The Democrats have controlled Hollywood, our culture, and the reproductive debate for far too long. While we wait for Congress to pursue the right course of action, these videos add some major amplification to the pro-life voice and give us a powerful seat at the table. Let’s not squander this opportunity.
